Awesome week of learning

This week was absolutely amazing! It started with a visit from my family. Then we had a class on Ultrasounding Mares taught by Jim Kubiak of The Breeder’s Assistant. We made some wonderful friends…I’m so sad to see them go. I think there may be some new things coming at Rancho Godinez including some big surprises. We will soon be offering freezing semen services. Tomorrow we head out to Pin Oak. Enjoy some of the pictures of our new friends that took the class. ganador

Busy, Busy, Busy….

These last few weeks have been exciting and busy.  I’m hoping life will give us a bit of a break in the near future!  This weekend has been the Peter Maddison-Greenwell clinic at the Salado Creek Riding Club.  Jajan has been doing wonderful!  We’re ready to start breeding him as soon as he gets home.  I have several mares on the list…just waiting for the right time.  Nigeriana (Anni) is due to foal any time now, her milk is in, but I think we have a couple of days still.  We had a great time at the Central Texas Arabian Horse Club last weekend…I’ll post the results as soon as I get a little more time.  Let’s just say it was a really good day!

Apart from all the Rancho Godinez news, Isaias is working on opening a restaurant here in Cedar Creek.  Any of my friends from Carterville might remember Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant that was run by my sister-in-law and her family.  She’s going to be helping us down here.  I am so craving her cheese dip!  We’ve been running all over the place trying to get the pieces of equipment we need.  I think most of our running is done, hopefully we can open by the end of March.

Lots of new things coming…I just need to find the time to get to work on my computer and update our website!  Keep checking back…oh, and don’t forget the IALHA stallion auction ends this week.  Make sure to get your bid in (there’s a certain bay stallion that is fabulous up for bid)!
